Listening To Today’s Music, To Make Your Own Music Better…

If you listen to today’s music on the radio, you will hear a wide variety of songs and beats. You even these days hear people singing over hip hop beats, and folks rapping more than r&b beats! The two genres are blending a lot in today’s music. A single of the blunders that many underground rap artists make is, they are so concerned about becoming what they call “actual” as in getting gangsta or challenging.
It appears like they are much more concerned about becoming “real” then they are about selling records and producing funds. So they use only beats that are difficult and “gangsta” sounding. They talk about shooting and killing over these difficult rap beats. It’s ok for them to do this if this is what they want, but each song on the album can’t be that way if they want to be a profitable multi-platinum selling artist. If you want to get your music on the radio, and on BET or MTV, you have to have at least a couple of singles, that are far more commercial.
A lot of artists do not do this, and they miss out on a whole entire marketplace of possible consumers! The purpose is to capture the consideration of these individuals through mass media such as the radio and tv, so that they will obtain the album. Once they buy the album, they will then have access to the rest of your various designs.
Keep This in Mind:
People in the streets will burn your CD! Listeners from the Radio and T.V. will get your CD!
Which 1 do you consider will get you to Platinum Status More rapidly?
My artists are going to sell 200,000+ CD’s this year! How about you?
So the point is, if your objective is to capture as a lot of sells as you can, then you have to make music that everybody can listen to. You can not make music only for the streets. You have to make it for the streets, the club, the radio/tv, and for the automobile. That way, you can receive sells and cash from all of those distinct markets, rather of just from the streets. Today’s hit music has one particular factor in widespread: No matter how stupid it could sound, it is catchy. Do not feel me? Listen to Laffy Taffy! It may get horrible ratings from a lot of Hip-Hop Heads, but the girls adore it, and it sticks with you. Consider about it: How several instances have you talked about it with someone since the song came out? How several instances have you listened to it when it came on the radio just to see how stupid it was?
