Do you deliver “Thank You” something? Have something be ever done by you for someone and they never even identified it? Was it anything small, or on your part did it get some work? Was it a major or minor hassle? Did you shrug it off or did it HACK YOU OFF!!!?Most people (O.K….ME, that’s) like it when you take the time to thank them for accomplishing something for you, whether it was virtually insignificant like only adding them to some body, or something main like, I really do not know……buying them a residence perhaps. Just understanding that you took the time to recognize my efforts makes me feel well, because let us experience it, my time is valuable to my business and me. I’ve telephone calls to make, study to accomplish, Facebook to update, MySpace to update, Twitter to update, dogs to walk, sleep to catch up on, what-everrrrr! If I walk out my solution to take action for you, then I’m always wondering if you recognize that I did you a favor. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not achieving this so you’ll owe me one. (This is where I place cotton in my own mouth and talk about performing a service in a truly gruff, whispery voice). But I still wonder. And I wonder what I will do if the opportunity to complete you a favor pops up again. Oh, in addition, this does not have something regarding whether or not YOU imagine it is a significant work on my part. This is not about YOU!Well, yes it is, really. It is about you showing your understanding of other folks. It is about honor and integrity and the used-to-be American Way. It’s about others remembering you when it is time to conduct business. It’s about you having a relationship with other people, whether it is business or personal.You have heard that ” Givers Gain” right? If not, effectively, here it is…..”Givers Gain.”What that means is that it’s the folks who do for others without considered “What is in it for me” who get the benefits in the long run. I would ike to put it another way. What goes around, comes around. Now, what would you favour – the old burning-bag-of-dog-poo-on-your-porch secret, or even a good plate of brownies sent with a credit card? The brownies would be chosen by most people. Would you favour a sizable building named in your honor or a wonderful effigy of you being burnt in your dishonor? The large building would be chosen by most people (and probably get an edifice complex). You’re chances of finding brownies are much better.Sending Thank You cards gives people warm fuzzies. They’ve good feelings about you. They may have bad thoughts about you, but a card will make them rethink. Maybe not alter their mind, but realize I said “reconsider.” And brownies, well, what do you consider that might do?You are probably thinking, “Right. I am going to go to the store, locate a card, go to another store, obtain brownies, come home and have to produce the card, wrap and box the brownies, be in the auto AGAIN and go down seriously to mail the whole thing! Who wants to spend all that energy and money and take all that time? Me? Heck, no! My time is useful, too!”You have a point.
