CapeK9Cardio began their pet sitting and dog walking business after owner, Jason Michaud, noticed an improvement in the disposition of his Jack Russell Terrier after taking him on marathon training runs in 2007. Since then the business has grown to include the K-9 5K Trail Run or 1 Mile Walk to raise money for local dogs while emphasizing the importance of exercise for dogs. This year the 3rd annual event will be held on July 1st in Falmouth, Massachusetts to support the ground breaking of the Mashpee Dog Park. The dog park’s mission is to promote responsible dog ownership and safe, legal off-leash recreation for dogs living in Mashpee and the surrounding Cape Cod region.
