Effectively in this authors humble opinion, No! Google does not hate SEO’s, or at least search engine optimisation performed by ethical Search engine optimization firms – what would be the point?

Sure make life tough for folks trying to manipulate the search engine results, but in terms of hat…

Right after reading a couple of recent articles, some directly saying that Google hates SEO’s and other people being a lot more stealthy in their aspersions, the question has to be asked. Does Google truly hate SEO’s?

Properly in this authors humble opinion, No! Google does not hate SEO’s, or at least search engine optimisation performed by ethical Search engine marketing organizations – what would be the point?

Positive make life hard for men and women trying to manipulate the search engine final results, but in terms of hating an industry, I would have to draw the line short of that (although maybe some of our much less industrious spam-friendly close friends may need their wings clipping somewhat).

To be brutally truthful, I can see no cause for Google, or any other search engine, to hate SEO’s. Search engine optimisation, I would suggest, is one of the important causes why search engines have become as efficient as they presently are in refining their results.

We search engine marketeers, at the finish of the day, want our campaigns to operate and rely heavily on a ROI focussed service. For this purpose, all elements of the marketing mix have to be operating in synergy, so relevance and targeting are basic elements of all our campaigns. Essentially, this is what Google desires – great good quality, relevant final results.

Google have also offered a wealth of tools, aimed at delivering marketeers and potential marketeers with adequate info to promote their sites – regardless of whether it be recommendations, webmaster tools, API access or blogs. Surely such activity is a clear indication of help and not a situation of trying to minimise the effect of would be search engine marketeers.

Above all, most search engine marketing and advertising agencies do not just supply Search engine optimization, they offer you paid search (PPC) as nicely. Surely if the search engines annoy these agencies by attacking Search engine marketing, they run the danger of affecting paid search devote. Google, Yahoo and MSN perform really closely with agencies as regards their paid search campaigns, so it is logical to assume that to alienate the Seo activity of an agency would certainly effect on paid search as properly. Too much of a monetary threat I would have thought!

Ultimately, the question “Does Google really hate SEO’s?” boils down to 1 crucial factor. What commercial advantages could there possibly be in curtailing Seo activity?
