Multiple Intelligence is certainly not applicable simply to formal coach training and teaching sessions or workshops. In this article I discuss how to touch “The 8 Types of Smart” in leading a meeting to insure that you catch everyone’s attention and you buy them associated with your presentation.LEADING A MEETINGHere are some methods you range from to “juice up” any meeting you’ve to guide. The over-arching key is to make sure that there is lots of range during the meeting. As people enter into the meeting have instrumental music playing to set the mood for the type of meeting it is.For example, if people will need to extend themselves and “think out side the box” play music that’s a bit unusual and out of the standard. If it’s a gathering where you will be coping with plenty of controversial problems, use classical music to simply help people relax.2. Don’t allow people to just sit around and discuss the problems to death. Start with building the plan using a “mind map.” Then bypass the team and have each individual say what his / her personal goals are for the assembly. Record these on yet another mind map.3. When there is information to be introduced and discussed, break the group into partners or tiny teams and use a “jigsaw” strategy where you divide the information up have various teams or partners examine their part of the information. Then have them produce a plan of the key points of the information they studied. Finally, have them discuss their part of the information with the larger group through verbal presentations.4. Examine the demonstration by asking questions which engage The 8 Forms of Smart; such as, “What did you see within your head?” “What was your emotional response?” “What did you intend to do?” “Who are you wanting to talk to about this?” or “What item( s) do you feel you need additional time to consider about?”5. Whenever possible throughout the meeting, have people demonstrate their a few ideas through real exhibition, roleplaying, or just find excuses to get people up out of the seats going every twenty minutes or so.6. Utilize different varieties of aesthetic representation throughout the assembly so people can see what’s being discussed. This can include such things a charts, movement maps, creation, blueprints, images, PowerPoint slides, videos, guided imagery, and so on.7. At in conclusion of the meeting style a way to represent the results of the meeting using some of the Multiple Intelligence SmartStrategies.I have frequently had people generate three different ways to show their comprehension of the results of the meeting such as writing in a record, developing a visible symbol of the thing that was accomplished, and giving the meeting a concept of a well-known song. When you lead meetings making certain to include every one of the multiple intelligences, not only will you touch the range of ways people understand, understand, and process data, I promise you’ll put a finish to boring meetings forever and you’ll have them begging for more!
