It is been some time since anyone’s struck the top of the graphs with rockabilly again, but unlike the 60s and 70s, there does not be seemingly any risk of the category falling into obscurity. Now that rock and roll is nearly 60 years old, there are plenty of older performers keeping rockabilly alive. But what’s most impressive is the quantity of young kids who are discovering their passion for rockabilly and forming new artists of these own to perform and write clean, new rockabilly. As long as these youngsters keep learning from the older years, rockabilly may remain alive and well for many years to come!
