Sometimes I wonder if government will ever figure it out? Free-Enterprise is where tasks are created, not by government. Every time the federal government gets involved, everything that the free-market is famous for stops working and becomes ineffective, not able to perform its magic. Ronald Reagan stated; “government can’t repair the problem, government is the problem,” and he also made yet another interesting popular quote, that might help me make my next point here, he said;”Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in several brief phrases: If it goes, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops going, subsidize it.”For present day samples of this we can appear at Solyndra, and the crony capitalism chaos that became of that, and the “Government Motors” or GM Bailout – where tax payer’s money was used. In the case of GM, the amount of money went along to the unions so they really had escape just how for GM can re-organize it self. The organization bond holders and franchisee sellers got the base too, since the bankruptcy laws and numerous restrictions were considered void and null by the government for this specific one-off instance. The Obama Administration has been known for providing waivers when it politically suits them. But crony capitalism doesn’t operate long-term, it never have and paying off political favors in progress only causes more problems down the road, you realize like solar panel systems no one needs, or cars costly cars, that no one is getting getting on fire. There was articles submitted to CNN on December 1, 2011 titled; “Chevy Volt Misses 2011 revenue goal,” by Peter Valdes-Dapena which stated; “General Motors confessed Thursday that it’ll not sell the 10,000 Chevrolet Volts that it’d hoped to sell in 2011, and said that it’d choose the plug-in electric car right back from any customer fearful about its safety,” which was because of the random natural fires which had occurred within their cars. The sales objective of 6100 vehicles sold did not even come near the 10K they’d wished to have sold. December sales hardly struck 1100 units. On exactly the same time an article appeared simultaneously on CBS News titled; “GM: Buybacks a resort” for Chevy Volts” – meaning that GM will give free loaner cars to these inconvenienced by the security checks on their new volts, and a return when they are concerned about it.Well, you know Ayn Rand was correct, so was Ronald Reagan, Milton Freedman, and all the pundits that told all of you in advance that these sorts of bargains by means of government are just plain terrible news – from beginning to end. And it looks like the taxpayer’s get “charged” again. Please contemplate all this.
