If you have woken up with splotchy, irritated or puffy skin, then look to tea bags for a cure. No, not for drinking in this case, but to dab on the problem areas. Use a tea bag of green tea that has been steeped for a minute or two and cooled. You then dab it on your face, and let the natural antioxidants in the tea reduce the inflammation.

Whether your eye color is blue, brown, green, or otherwise, a good creamy white eye pencil can do wonders for enhancing the color and making your eyes appear larger, whiter, and brighter. Use the pencil to line the inner rims of your lower lids. This is a flattering trick that works for anyone.

Do not forget your hands need to be pampered too. Hands are often overlooked in beauty treatments. That is why it is said, if you want to know someones age, check their hands. In addition to daily treatment with lotion or cream, you should exfoliate your hands once a week.

Blot oily skin. If you are out on the town and notice your face is oily, use toilet paper to blot your skin. This works as well as any blotting paper and will remove any excess oil you may have on your skin and give you a perfect flawless look.

To get super shiny hair, try giving your hair some deep conditioning! After washing your hair, squeeze out all excess water and apply a healthy dollop of conditioner to your hair, focusing on your hairline, the nape of the hair, and the ends. Apply a shower cap and let the conditioner soak in 10 minutes before you rinse it out. You’ll have gorgeous silky hair when it dries!

A few drops of rich sweet almond oil can be a very useful addition to your skincare routine as well as for use in emergencies. Use it on dry skin to infuse heavy duty moisture, or apply it to your cuticles to make them noticeably softer before a manicure or pedicure.

If you have a pale complexion, opt for a brown or grey-black mascara and eye liner. Bold black eyeliner and mascara can sometimes look too harsh on people with pale skin and it often ages them and may look inappropriate during the daytime. A brown or grey-black color can give a more natural appearance.

Keep eye drops on you at all times. Keep them in your purse, desk or both. This will help your eyes glisten through the day and make you not look so tired. Looking at a computer all day can also make your eyes red and keeping eye drops around will help that.

Instead of applying false eyelashes that may fall off sometime during the day, use an eyelash curler. An eyelash curler will curl your lashes upwards and away from the eye, making your eyes appear bigger. Make sure you use the curler before applying mascara, or you’ll have to reapply it.

Put your vegetables on your skin. Vegetables have many health benefits when you eat them, and several more when used as a beauty treatment. Try cool cucumbers or sliced potato on your eyes to relieve puffiness and redness. Use water left from boiling cabbage, broccoli, or kale for a healthy skin toner.

For women using makeup, lipstick is a common problem area. Many women decide to use a very bright or strong color on their lips and this is not always a good idea. Of course there are situations that call for bold colors, but on a day to day basis you want something more neutral.

Get your sleep to keep yourself looking beautiful. Do not underestimate the power of scarce sleep to age your face, and your body. You need from six to eight hours of sleep a night to rejuvenate your body, skin, and brain. All are important elements in your overall personal health.

Keep a small tube of hand cream in your purse to use as a hair tamer on a bad hair day. In the summer, use a tiny amount of hand cream, and run it through your hair; the tips of your fingers will tame the frizz. In the winter, put a dime-size amount of hand cream on your hands, and smooth it over your hair to eliminate static.

Now that you have an idea on where to start crafting your own personal beauty regimen, are you ready to start experimenting? Are you ready to apply what you have read to your body? Can you start bettering your appearance properly and smartly? If you can, then have fun! If not, make sure you go back through the tips again.
