Nuts, Gears & Beers
Description #1:- A pinion is the edible nut of a wood tree.- E pinion is a crazy perspective held by an individual (unless it is your own personal view, of course). The more opinions that get expressed, the nuttier the quality of a conversation becomes.- A notion is an opinion masquerading as thought fact in order to conceal its nutty origin.Definition #2:- A pinion is a wheel, frequently also called a gear.- O pinion is a little, toothed wheel in the gearbox of someone’s mind. The wheels turn round, the teeth reaching other items. Often, these o-pinions will pop from the gearbox. The more ideas put out (are indicated), the less functional the gearbox becomes and it quickly moves out of control or jams up entirely.- A notion is an o-pinion that’s no teeth. It really revolves around and around without to be able to interface with the other things in the mind.Definition #3:O’Pinion is definitely an Irish fan. It is used to add color and flavor to Guinness. The more Guinness you consume, the more you are inclined to state opinions. There are over 2 dozen different types of alcohol in the world. However, each one of these models fall within two types, Ales and Lagers. These two forms are different because of the two different types of yeast utilized in the fermentation process.AlesAles are “top fermenting” drinks. They are created using a premier fermenting yeast named Saccharomyces cerevisiae. This fungus clings together in large clumps close to the surface during fermentation. Ale yeast leaves a sweetness in the beer and works best at higher temperatures and, as a result, works faster to convert sugars into alcohol, but doesn’t convert all the sugars. Beers are more dark with types that tend to be higher than Lagers and that change, even increase, with warmer conditions. As your Ale warms up in your glass it gets more bolder sampling. Darker drinks are even more flavorful.LagersLagers are “bottom fermenting” drinks. They are made out of a bottom fermenting yeast called Saccharomyces uvarum. This sort of yeast does not clump together and therefore sinks to the bottom during fermentation. This Lager fungus is best suited at low temperatures and gradually ferments more sugars in to alcohol. So while sugar is actually transformed by Ale yeast faster, more sugar is changed by Lager fungus over the longer fermentation. Thus, Lagers are usually less lovely, crisp and clean than Ales. Richer lagers are more malty tasting than light lagers, but both share a common quality. Lagers usually are served very cold and the taste generally will not improve with increasing temperature.Drink your lagers cold. Your ales must be drunk just slightly great. Of course, that is only my opinion.Yeasts, by the way, are single celled fungi. Yes, relatives of the Amanita (the magic mushroom) and ergot (the rye fungus that produces LSD ).Ingesting yeasts/fungi seems to affect one’s perspective of the world and therefore, one’s opinions. Some time, I will write a book on the subject and call it, “As a Man Drinketh.”
