As with other Dynasty Warriors games, the music is a mix of traditional Chinese music and rock. It has a very interesting effect, but it doesn’t really add to the game. If you had the sound off and played, it really wouldn’t take away from the game. The voice acting isn’t bad, but it’s not award winning either. There’s also the option to have the voices in English or Japanese, a good plus for those out there who prefer the original voices.

Thus, the entire game is basically knowing when to block, and when to attack. Then, on those really desperate situations, you can press a button to trigger a 3-second slow-motion sequence where everything is slowed down except you. Savor this feature though because you only get slow-mo after every 10 kills. And watch out; at the hardest difficulty, the game is set so that one hit from the enemy anywhere means seeing the ”retry or quit?” screen. The normal difficulty will allow 3 hits and easy difficulty will allow7 hits.

The NGP be using a touchscreen-based user interface known as LiveArea, switching from the XRossMediaBar interface. The main LiveArea will feature PlayStation Store, games and browser icons, among others. Each game will also carry its very own LiveArea which looks like a collection of bubbles and shows game updates and trophies.
