I am a sucker for anything related to Kung Fu. Especially when it comes to discovering the numerous art forms of genuine fighting. I started watching these awesome kungfu videos months ago and I got truly passionate about fighting. My abilities have significantly improved. The thing is, I was beginning to feel a bit bored following a whilst. There is only so much you can do with punching and kicking absolutely nothing but air.

But check this out. I got into a thing quite great. It is named the Wing Chun Dummy and this issue is the genuine deal. This is how it all operates. The Wing Chun Dummy is a wooden coaching dummy created to be employed by martial artists to enhance power, strength and general potential in any fighting arena. If you assume fighting a wooden dummy is silly, believe once more. If you believe your hands and shins are tough, brother are you in difficulty!

Generally, you just whack the heck out of this thing and act like it is an opponent. Quite entertaining, if you ask me. One solid word of guidance even though: make confident you know how to hit this issue simply because, if you dont know what you are undertaking, it will hurt! Trust me, I learned actual quick how considerably harm you can do to oneself if you dont find out the proper way to hit a wooden dummy. It is not like it can hit back, but still, it is a tough, compact piece of wood we are talking about right here. Be cautious. Expect to bruise and even bleed your first couple of sparring sessions. I am not joking.

So I begin beating on this thing for a while and watching the dummy coaching DVD at the identical time and within days, I begin feeling stronger. My muscles felt harder, denser and much better in a position to take punishment. I felt like I could take on something! My endurance was incredible following only a few weeks. It was extraordinary. I had a lot of war wounds, namely bruises on my shins and elbows, but the boost in capability was worth it. The first time you kick this thing full power, you’re gonna squeal like a little karate girl. The shin bone has no meat on it. But it gets hard, speedy. You can strike much tougher than you can a human in practice. Just think about how considerably power you can generate in your back, shoulders and triceps…fearsome stuff.

It was also a nice alter of pace from the same old kung fu education DVDs I have been watching ahead of. Dont get me incorrect, those issues are great and got me to where I am nowadays. But, after a while, it is great to step it up a notch and try new things. It worked for me. I started seeking forward to instruction much more and much more each and every day, even with some of the self-inflicted beatings I was taking.

An additional approach used on the dummy is the act of finger striking. This has often been one of my favorites. I bear in mind watching a movie when I was a kid and this guy practiced poking this wooden board over and over and eventually was able to really smash a person with them and crush their windpipe. Now, I am not advocating hurting anybody, but I often wanted to be in a position to have that type of power in my fingertips. Thanks to the Wing Chun Dummy, I have it and far more.

Power, speed, technique, even toughness…all is feasible by education with a wing chun dummy. The ancient kung fu masters have sworn by it for five centuries, who was I to argue?
