When packing clothing for your next trip, never go on your own assumptions about the climate and weather of your destination. Different parts of a country can have significantly divergent weather patterns and temperatures, so invest a little extra time in uncovering the specific details of your intended location.

A great travel tip is to never fully unpack if you’re staying at a hotel room for a small amount of time. It might get annoying having to get everything out of your suitcase but it’s a great way to make sure you won’t lose anything by leaving it behind.

When traveling long distances by airplane, make sure to get up and walk around every hour or two to stretch your legs. Staying seated for too long can lead to medical issues such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), so take a stroll up and down the aisle every once in a while.

Buy your Disney t-shirts and clothing before you get to the park! The clothing inside of the park is out of this world, expensive and you will be relieved that your child already has a Mickey shirt when he wants one,as you see the prices at the gift shops!

If you are traveling overseas, purchase a local newspaper to wrap the souvenirs up in that you buy for family and friends. Foreign newspapers make an interesting and unique wrapping paper for small gifts, especially if the newspaper is in a foreign language. If you know someone that is particularly interested in the country you are visiting, consider buying them a whole newspaper as a souvenir.

If you are traveling in a car, take a bike with you. A bike will help you get exercise after a long day in the car, and it can also help you learn a little about the place that you are in. You will also be able to see more local landmarks than you would have in the car. Try to fit the bike in your trunk if possible.

Check the dates of the reviews that you are reading about your potential destination. Many things change with time, and a review that was written long ago may not be as accurate as you need it to be to make a sound judgment as to whether to visit or not.

If you are traveling for business, but also plan on sightseeing, bring a diary or notebook with an envelope to keep your expenses separate. Make keeping track of business easier by jotting down each expense as you go along instead of trying to remember which expenses were work and which were fun. An envelope or pocket in the notebook is also a good idea to store your receipts in.
