True Returns

The method of making incentives for buyers to share, obtain, use and talk about your product is not new. Presents with buy at the cosmetics counter, trading stamps that can be redeemed for prizes, regular shopper factors, deals and two for one specific have now been tried by vendors for ages as a way to obtain customers to use and reuse their products. In the age of social networking, the most recent iteration of reward programs (Klout Perks and Amex Rewards) are really just an extension of the same tactics. And some are greater then others.A year ago, I was an extremely event lover of Klout and Klout perks. I received $10 gift cards for Subway and $25 gift cards from Macy’s which I could use with no strings attached. To me we were holding real returns and incentives. But currently the rewards have changed. What I have been receiving as “perks” are just discounts. Gift cards have been received $10 by me to be reproduced to purchases which may charge $50 – $100. That is not a benefit, it’s a discount or sale. The same I would get if I just observe the report for your income. And it wasn’t actually rewarding me for utilizing the product or service. In contrast the new Amex small company plan together with Foursquare is amazing. As opposed to offering me deals which have little if any importance, they associate with retail and restaurants venues. The redemption is simple. All I’ve to do is register on Foursquare and then spend with my Amex card. $5, $10 or maybe more is going to be automatically paid to my consideration. It generally does not get easier then that. And with this scenario, everyone wins!I am likely because I know I could get a discount just for examining in, so the venue benefits to come back to the venue.
I am likely so Amex wins, because I get $10 back, to use my Amex card
I’m happy because I save $10 on anything I would definitely buy anyhow, so I winIn improvement the cafe and Amex get an additional boost because I’m checking in and sharing details about the place and the discount. I would say something like “Hey I’m at Zest, and I saved $10 on a great food, trigger I settled with my Amex.”To me that’s a great program, because both brands are built by it, making a happy client who is prone to return. Whilst you think about your reward applications, think about the Amex and Klout models. Keep your program simple to manage, simple to engage and take into account the win, win win.
