Why not cash in your pension early?

It seems that each and every time we switch on the news lately, an individual somewhere is complaining about or threatening to strike more than modifications to their pensions? And why not?

I come from that age group that has grown up paying into our pension funds totally expecting, like many ahead of us to retire at that magical age of 65, only to uncover out that is no longer the situation, the goal posts have moved!

I can now appear forward to at least an additional couple of years and undoubtably larger contributions, prior to I can lastly kick off my function boots when and for all and take pleasure in the fruits of my labours.

So why really should it alter now for me following all these years? Effectively the truth is, and it really is a cause that I personally hope to subscribe to, we’re all living longer! Subsequently the pension system that has served for so numerous years can not and will not continue to be sufficient, it is apparent truly.

My guess is that in coming years, we will have to see far more changes to the system, if we hope as so many have done in the previous, to retire with comfort and safety, commensurate to the expense of living of the time.

I also believe we will see a lot more and a lot more men and women take their futures into their own hands and choose options to conventional pensions, placing their funds instead into house, investments and organization opportunities, empowering them with handle over their own future wealth.

With that stated, if we have substantial sums tied up in frozen pension schemes, with a somewhat modest to poor return due when we retire, why not utilise individuals funds that we have worked hard for and contributed to, for instance to invest in a home, a historically sound investment, that could not only provide a lump sum when sold but also potentially an ongoing rental earnings.

Why not invest in an enterprise opportunity that would place your future firmly into your own hands, why not spend off all of your debts, clearing the way to move forward into a future with no a millstone around your neck?

Cashing in a pension early is a risky proposition and should not be done with no talking to an expert or certified financial advisor, you would at the finish of the day be gambling with funds that have been set aside for your retirement.

What we do know is that presently our pensions will not be fit for objective unless we start off contributing far more and over a longer period of time, so if there is an option that can give you manage of your pension funds to take and make perform for you now and for your future, then I say why not!
