Do you have any personalized Christmas traditions?
Our family consists of four kids — three teen girls and a pre-teen boy. Without realizing it, we began a family Christmas tradition that I hope to continue forever. Since the kids were very little, we’ve painted, made, or purchased an individual ornament for each child. Each ornament is dated with the year and has their name somewhere on it. This all started with the “baby’s first christmas” ornament. After that, we have some awkward looking finger painted ornaments, and some that each child has picked out from the store. Now, as my oldest daughter gets ready to leave for her new life with her soon-to-be husband, I know she’ll be plucking her beloved ornaments from our tree (thank God! It’s been leaning for a few years, even broken and replaced a tree stand). The twins, now sixteen, will follow in a few years.
But the tradition will always be continued with my family. I can’t wait to make or buy my grandchildren, one day, their ornaments!
What does your family do?

This is more of a culture tradition- our family, being from Brazil, celebrate Christmas on Christmas eve, usually opening the gifts at midnight, or at 11 if we’re impatient
)
my family just consists of my parents, my 15 year old brother, and I (14)
we basically eat rice,chicken/portuguese fish,rabanadas(Brazilian breakfast food, they kinda look like churros, but WAY better
and then go to mass
We always go out for Christmas Eve lunch as a family then on to church and afterwards we each open one present. On the tree we use decorations the children made when they were small as well as ones which belonged to my family when I was a child. It’s all symbolic of tradition.
My family does the same with the ornaments!! My mother said that when we grow older & have our own families, we will take some of the ornaments & keep passing it down for as long as it can last. Haha, we use a fake tree too(: Every Sunday before Christmas, we have a get-together at a buffet with my mother’s friends & their children. & of course, church on Christmas Eve. We also choose one gift to open that night, & leave the rest for the next day. Good luck!!
I go to Philly every year for Christmas. My niece and I eat candy from sun up until sun down!
My family hates it.
