Using social media as nothing more than a way to advertise your affiliates and you will end up kicked off the site for spamming. Make sure that your blog posts or articles you write are posted to your social website pages as soon as they’re put up on your website.

Make sure you’re getting enough commission. Don’t waste your time with companies that off you 5 or 10 percent. Expecting to receive 20 to 50 percent it not unreasonable. Remember, those are sales that the product owners would never make in the first place, so they are not losing anything when you tell them the percentage that you require.

When using affiliate marketing you should use research and ranking tools to see what kind of ads your audience is looking at. This will show you what pages are providing you with customers. If you find that an ad has no effect on your audience replace it with another one that will bring in customers.

Before you join, ask your affiliate program if you get credit for offline sales. If you tell your PTA about the company you’re affiliated with, will you get commission for any phone sales you refer? What if you hand out catalogs in local waiting rooms? Off-site marketing can be extremely lucrative, but not if you don’t earn a commission for it!
