Electronic Cigarettes and Their Types
Electronic cigarettes, also known as smokeless cigarettes, are a means to inhale nicotine via a vaporized solution. This electronic device gives a sensation similar to that experienced during the intake of tobacco via the traditional cigarettes. Some people have a misconception that because these electronic cigarettes do not emit smoke, they are not harmful; which is not true. Hence, despite their numerous benefits, they also possess certain side effects, which can prove severe.
Basically electronic cigarettes are available in two variations – manual and automated electronic cigarettes. Manual e-cigarettes possess a button which, upon pressing, activates the heating element present in them. On the other hand, automated e-cigarettes activate this heating element automatically via the use of a sensor. Moreover, electronic cigarettes can be reusable or disposable. E-cigs, irrespective of the type in use, usually contain an indicator (red in color) on top of them which lights up when the cigarette is smoked.
E-cigarette or electronic cigarette acts as a substitute to the conventional fags but perform the same task of satisfying the urge of nicotine. They consist of three basic constituents – a nicotine cartridge, an atomizer and a lithium-ion battery and these three, operating in parallel, perform the basic functionality of the e-cigarettes. Moreover, a red light is also attached on top of the e-cigarette which lights up in an orangish-red color during inhalation, thereby, giving a look and feel which is exactly similar to the conventional cigarettes.
Nicotine cartridge consists of the liquid that vaporizes for inhalation by the smoker. This vaporization of nicotine is achieved via the heating element or the atomizer. Working of the atomizer is based on the battery power supplied. Hence, all three parts work in co-ordination to achieve the traditional cigarette functionality. E cigarette is capable of over-riding the smoking ban too because of its environment friendly functionality.
