My name is Nicholas Redd. I am from Salt Lake City. I have to admit it, starting a pooper scooper business wasn’t even my idea. In fact, it was my brothers idea. But even then, it wasn’t HIS original idea either. My brother just so happened to be watching a television show about unique business ideas. Amongst one of the ideas was … you guessed it … a pooper scooper company! Pet Butlers, Matt “Red” Boswell who made an ENORMOUS amount of money each year picking up animal waste (Or better said, “Being a Professional Pooper Scooper.”) was on the television being interviewed. Seeing the low cost of overhead and high-profit potential my brother wanted to be a part of it. But just as fast as he told me about the idea, he was offered a great job that took him out of the state and left me with this great business idea and a very large appetite for making money. Literally, the next day I took 10 moving boxes that I found in my garage, cut them into sign size shapes and printed 11×17 black and white copies at Kinko’s that said: We Scoop Poop!
