Is Real Estate Investing for You?
Is real estate investing for you? Perhaps it’s and maybe it isn’t. Hopefully this book will provide you with an idea of what the waters of real-estate investing are like, and whether you’ll be able first to keep yourself afloat and 2nd whether you can in fact make improvement swimming in such waters.
“Do you remember what it’s like to discover how to swim? What do you first do when you learn to swim? You make mistakes, do you not? And what happens? You make other errors , and when you have made all of the mistakes you possibly can without drowning – and a few of them quite a few times over – what do you locate? Which you can swim! Well – life is just the same as learning to swim! Do not be afraid of making faults , for there’s no other technique for learning how to live!”
Real Estate investing just isn’t a make money fast scheme. It is a field in which discipline, dedication and devotion all come into play:
Discipline: The strategies described within this book are credentials to be learned. You can not become a specialist overnight in this or other field. Still, if you have the self discipline to learn as much as you can about this field you’ll find yourself making decisions that make sense and investments which make money. And while this field is ever-changing and demands the discipline of life-long learning, the foundational principles are basic and unchanging. It is to all of these principles that you need to be dedicated.
Dedication: Real Estate investment is much totally different from selling widgets. You’re investing in the homes in which families live. Children will grow up in such homes. College students and military veterans will get back to such homes. Couples will grow old in all of these homes. These houses will be the places wherein arise celebrations of family life, national holidays and religious milestones. You’re investing in neighborhoods in which children will play and grow – hopefully in the security and safety. These neighborhoods will be so to the extent that you help build them via your investment decisions. As you make choices about your real-estate investments, be dedicated to all of these higher goals.
Devotion: Making money via real estate investments can be one of your goals. I encourage you to allow it be a goal that serves a broader and deeper mission in life. You can make a difference in this planet through real-estate investment if you connect this beneficial activity using your mission in life. Yes, your mission, your purpose, your calling. Make it your mission in life to develop instead of to tear down, to do the suitable thing instead of the improper thing. Go the distance to make things right for families and neighborhoods and you will find yourself rewarded both materially and in ways which are more essential than silver or gold.
