Make Money Online Right Now-Navigating The Mental Minefield Of Internet Marketing
So, I was staring at my pc one day, about 6 months or so into launching my internet business. Like a good boy I was doing my backlinking, my SEO tasks, and finishing another web page. I believe it was my 17th or 18th niche site. I had it going on! I had websites on dog training, bed wetting, dieting, muscle building, ADHD, irritable bowel syndrome and on and on.
I was just getting to inserting my affiliate links in the Clickbank products and then it hit me – what for? Why did I reckon the new site would bring me money? In as much as, at that moment (I think it may have been the initial time I really stepped back and thought for a moment) I came to the conclusion that none of the other 17 had brought me any money! So why would I believe this one should? I also realized that I believed the exact same thing about #16, #15, #14, and so on.
As if that wasn’t discouraging enough, it also dawned on me that I hadn’t done any of my SEO stuff on the first 10 niche sites in a while. They were presently stagnating because I was too busy moving on to the next great thing.
Accordingly, needless to say, I wasn’t having a happy night!
Now, I’m a very motivated person and have been a businessperson for over 25 years and have regularly been, usually, triumphant at anything I put my mind to. So why is this not making money?
When I stepped back and sincerely evaluated what I had been doing I quickly came to the conclusion that I was not directing all that business acumen to work! I was ailing from an all too common internet marketing disease – INFORMATION OVERLOAD! I confused activity for productivity! Just because you’re doing something doesn’t indicate you’re doing the correct thing.
So I decided, in essence, to start over. To sit down and draw out a plan. I would design, dare I say it, a business plan!
I noticed that profitable Internet Marketer are very unique people with some explicit qualities that help them thrive. Most internet marketers fail because they do not have these basic traits:
Determination- Be determined to succeed, with a fervent determination to do what it takes. Don’t be easily dismayed.
Self-Motivation – Be self-motivated. Get out of bed and show up to work even though there is no one waiting at “the office” for you to punch the clock.
Focus – Avoid the “Shiny Object Syndrome”. Do not continue acquiring new ebooks before putting the ones you already obtained into your mix.
Organization – Get organized. Complete one project before initiating another one. Set a list of tasks and urge yourself to carry through on that timetable as much as possible.
Don’t believe you understand it all! – This may be the most important trait. Successful Internet Marketers have a strong willingness to continuously learn and be trained so that they can succeed in their business.
I deserted almost all of my sites and began focusing on just a couple of niches and now I’m making my living online! It’s not as formidable as you believe. It just takes concentration. You as well can become a prosperous Internet Marketer by pursuing and employing these basic principles.
